Translating Detox into Recovery: Innovations in Opioid Treatment

Detoxification from opioids can be an important first step in the recovery process, but it is essential that any period of detoxification be followed by access to medications, such as extended-release naltrexone, to help sustain long-term recovery.

Join the National Council for Behavioral Health on Tuesday, July 16 from 3-4 p.m. ET, for the webinar, Translating Detox into Recovery: Innovations in Opioid Treatment, and explore one organization’s model for engaging clients seeking ambulatory detox and transitioning them to more formal addiction treatment services. Ambulatory Detox is a commonly used service for persons seeking treatment for an opioid use disorder and can be an important first step in the recovery process if structured correctly and connected to appropriate follow-up care.
