Orange County Health Summit: A collaborative approach to community health planning

Join the Orange County Department of Health for the first Health Priorities Selection Summit as part of the 2019-2022 Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan process. Presentations will be given on updated Orange County data, the 2019-2024 New York State Prevention Agenda and the importance of addressing the social determinants of health. Topics of discussion and data will be provided for the following priority areas: the prevention of chronic diseases, promoting a safe and healthy environment, preventing communicable diseases, promoting the health of women, infants and children and promoting well-being and preventing mental health and substance-use disorders.

Attendees will vote on the new priority areas as well as be asked to provide insight, available resources (i.e. staff time/programming) and commit to working collaboratively as a community through the CHIP to the two areas chosen.

Seating is limited. In order to accommodate as many partners as possible, please limit the number of individuals attending from your organization to organizational leaders and/or the most pertinent staff members.
