This training is a collaborative effort between the Orange County Human Rights Commission, the Joint Membership of Health and Community Agencies, Montefiore Hudson Valley Collaborative, Refuah Community Health Collaborative, and the Westchester Medical Center Health Network.

Michelle E. Phillips, Esq., Jackson Lewis’ subject matter expert on LGBT issues will review today’s sexual orientation and transgender terminology and provide an overview of gender discrimination laws as well as sexual stereotyping and transgender cases. Ms. Phillips will discuss how these laws and cases impact workplace policy, and provide recommendations on on-the-job transitions, and enhancing an inclusive, respectful work culture.
