Direct Care Volunteers Training

Direct Care Volunteers provide companionship to Hospice patients in the community and in the Joe Raso Hospice Residence. They also provide support to caregivers by offering respite, running errands, and providing transportation. Direct Care Volunteers may also provide Bereavement support.

Sought but not required; Volunteers who can speak a second language, in particular: Spanish, Creole, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, and Yiddish are needed.

Veteran status Volunteers are needed for our Veteran Peer Program, which partners veteran volunteers with veteran patients.
