Community Health Worker(CHW) Apprenticeship Program
We are hosting a webinar on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM, to provide an overview of the Hostos Community College Community Health Worker Apprenticeship program. The Community Health Worker (CHW) Apprenticeship program is a two-year program in which employers hire and/or select employees to participate in classroom instruction and On-the-Job Training (OJT) to become CHWs or to enhance their skill set.
This webinar will provide participants with the following information:
– Overview of apprenticeship program including models for new hires and currently employed staff
– Overview of Hostos CHW curriculum (New York State Education approved)
– Next steps for organizations interested in participating and/or learning more about the program
– Questions and Answers
This webinar is intended for those managers responsible for hiring Community Health Workers, and those in similar functions and/or roles in their organization, including but not limited to: Community Outreach Worker, Community Liaison Worker, Patient Navigator, Community Health Representative, Peer Support Specialist, Peer Engagement and/or Health Coach.
