Plants of the Gods – Their Sacred, Healing and Hallucinogenic Powers
This program will explore some of the popular Psychotropic Plants such as Ayahuasca/DMT, Psilocybin, Peyote/Mescaline, Iboga, and more. These plants are currently being researched for their potential use in therapies for treatment of substance and psychosomatic disorders. While some of the plants are not illegal the chemical active ingredients are. This will prove to be a “spirited” discussion.
Cannabis/CBD/Vaping – A Part of the New Normal
This program will address the history of Cannabis and how commercialization is changing the public perception and what they are not telling you about the hidden dangers of the New Cannabis. CBD, can it really be the cure-all it claims to be? What are the potential harmful effects? Vaping, the toxic fad that endangers the health of millions. What is in the e-juice? What other substances are being used in this new drug delivery system.
Drugs of Abuse Update
This session will provide an updated overview of what Poison Centers are experiencing on the current drug trends including new synthetic drugs, opiates and heroin.
